WHY DONATE? As a non-profit organization, MPHS Chorus Boosters Inc. depends on donations to further the education of Chorus students and obtain access to festivals and participation in other choruses. Festivals can be competitive and challenging, showing students the rigor and technical depth required to step higher. Festivals and special choruses can ALSO be educative offering lessons and work shops, training voices and teaching musical theory. PLEASE SEE our "About Us" tab for tax id info.
For 2023/24 school year, MPHS Chorus Boosters is recommending a donation of any amount to help build our organization. Donations and other possible fundraisers pay for auditions for Honors Choruses, competitions/festivals, piano tuning, professional memberships, classroom maintenance, scholarships, concert supplies, travel expenses, trips and more.
Matching Donations: many corporations will match your donation for this non-profit. Please ask and use the name, Myers Park High School Chorus Boosters Inc.
Required-to-Pay Fees:
CHORUS MUSIC and CONCERT ATTIRE
You can send money just like a donation, either in the mail, with your student or by Zelle.
WHAT IS THE CHORUS MUSIC FEE? The Chorus Music Fee is required by every MPHS Chorus student. It pays for the materials needed to run the department. It pays for music, materials, digital subscriptions, accompanists, field trip transportation and concert costs, including pre-concert dinners.

For the 2024/25 school year, MPHS Chorus Boosters Inc. is recommending a $40 Choral Music fee.
WHAT IS THE CONCERT ATTIRE FEE? The Concert Attire Fee is for the formal attire - tuxedos and long black dresses with pearls. Students may choose the outfit best suited to their identity. Students will be provided a uniform to rent. The fee also covers the Chorus T-shirt for informal concerts.

For the 2024/25 school year, MPHS Chorus Boosters Inc. is recommending a $35 Concert Attire fee. Students from 2019-2021 classes who purchased their Concert Attire are required to pay $15.
