MPHS Chorus concerts include all chorus students and are performed in Fall, Winter/holiday, and Spring. These concerts are part of the required performances of all levels of classes. All classes perform together as a larger choir as well as separately as a class, highlighting the increasing technical difficulty across class levels. Small ensembles perform as well as soloists. Song selections range from folk music (Americana or international), to classical choral pieces and pop culture pieces. At holiday time, both secular and religious pieces are chosen. Concert dress is worn: long black dresses with white pearls and tuxedos.
The end-of-year concert is a POPS show, revolving around a different theme every year, where students perform solos, group acts, choral pieces, original compositions, a cappella, or in accompaniment of piano or other selected instruments.
